Specializing in reading and math interventions for students who are in grades K-5, or those Middle and High School students who are identified as having a reading disorder such as dyslexia, the instructional team at Bridges to Learning uses the following core of curriculum to meet each learner’s needs.

Reading Mastery (Gr K-2)

Reading Mastery uses the highly explicit, systematic approach of Direct Instruction to accelerate reading

and help students achieve a high rate of success.

â–  Addresses all five essential components of reading—phonemic awareness, phonics and word analysis, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

â–  Provides spelling instruction to help students make the connection between decoding and spelling patterns.

â–  Develops decoding, word recognition, and comprehension skills that transfer to other subject areas.

Corrective Reading Programs (Gr 3-12)

Corrective Reading Curriculum provides intensive and accelerated reading intervention. The Direct Instruction program delivers tightly sequenced, carefully planned lessons that give struggling students the structure and practice necessary to become skilled, fluent readers and empowered learners.
