Our Staff

Bridges to Learning Tutoring Center Staff Members and Volunteers are a team of educators and paraprofessionals that work under the direct supervision of the Director, Ms. Jacqueline Egli, M. Ed. Each member of the team participates in staff development and training, and follow lesson plans that incorporate curriculum and supplemental materials aligned to meet each learners unique instructional needs. 
Monya Seibert
Staff Member

Mrs. Monya Seibert resides in Hayesville, NC. She is married to Robert Seibert, is involved in her church and participates with the Mountain Community Chorus. She has 7 children who are all adults now and gives credit to her children for giving her the experience and understanding of students who are all diverse learners.  Ms. Monya had been a substitute teacher for  three years for PreK-12th grade aged students in New Hope Schools, Alabama  where she lived before moving to Hayesville, NC. When she and her family relocated to Hayesville, she continued being a substitute teacher for six years then took on the role of being a behavior specialist /teacher assistant for two years. She holds an AA Degree in Accounting and AA Degree in Early Childhood Education. 

 

Ms. Monya joined Bridges to Learning Tutoring Center in the summer of 2022 and teaches both math and reading at the Center. Ms. Monya is super enthusiastic about teaching, creates exciting lessons and loves to see the students at Bridges to Learning become confident in their math and reading skills!

Mrs. Peggy Mashburn was raised in Jolliett Illinois, before her family relocated to Cherokee County in 1978. She and her husband , Anthony, reside in the Beaverdam Community and have been married for 42 years.  Ms. Peggy loves camping, spending time with her granddaughter and loves animals. 

Ms. Peggy  has been an employee of the Cherokee County Public School system for 37 years.  She was a bus driver for Cherokee County Public Schools for 24 years, and during the past 12 years she has been a teaching assistant at Ranger Elementary School. She has worked with students with learning difficulties and disabilities as a classroom teacher assistant with the special education teachers.

After participating in extensive training Ms. Peggy volunteered to become the Bridges to Learning  "Fast ForWord Coach". She monitors the students while they are working on the program, keeps track of their scores and reviews their data to ensure that they are successful with the program. Ms. Peggy loves working with the students at Bridges to Learning, encouraging them to do their best and celebrates their success every day!
